VACANCY – Project Designer

Location:         Llandybie, Ammanford, SA18 3GY

THE COMPANY: Morgan Marine Ltd is a progressive company and market leader in the design, manufacture & installation of Steel and GRP housings amongst other diverse products. Our Primary client base includes the Utilities and Construction sectors. Morgan Marine Ltd is an ambitious, dynamic, and professional organisation with over 60 years of manufacturing in the Carmarthenshire area.  Due to our continued growth, we are looking to strengthen our Design Engineering Team with a Designer.

THE ROLE: Working in our Design and Engineering team you will be designing buildings and products using AutoCAD design software together with engineering and material calculation tools.  The role involves liaising with clients to achieve an approved design to proceed into manufacture.  An important part of the role is project management and liaising with internal departments to ensure successful completion of the project.

You will be required to train at our offices in Llandybie, to understand the product and systems.  You may also be required to travel within the UK (occasionally internationally) as and when required to attend site visits, carry out site surveys and participate in project meetings.

REQUIRED SKILLS: The candidate will require CAD experience and preferably hold an HND/Degree in an Engineering related subject, although relevant experience in a design/project-based environment will be considered if the candidate doesn’t hold these qualifications. Applicants should be computer literate with good communication and analytical skills.

THE PACKAGE: Salary: £30,000 to £33,000, dependent on experience. We also offer a competitive benefits package including 31 days holiday rising to 33, Life insurance, Pension, subsidised on site gym membership, Employee Assistance Programme, Health Care Cash plan, referral scheme and free parking.
